The media has brought about different views on the traditional roles of male and female in the modern society. Most of the programs carried in our media advocate for the changes in traditional roles, whereby men and women can now play the traditional roles that used to be played by either men or women. The short answer is we believe that gender plays an often hidden but highly important role in men’s lives, and that men can play a vital role in addressing inequality and violence. When we’re talking about men we’re talking about a socially constructed and ever changing gender identity.

Media plays a large role in creating social norms, because various forms of media, including advertisements, television, and film, are present almost everywhere in current culture.

Gender roles, as an example, exist solely because society as a whole chooses to accept them, but they are perpetuated by the media. Conspicuous viewers must be aware. The roles are strictly divided: men buy cars, women buy detergents. Men are either husbands and fathers, or businessmen.
